Airedale Terrier

The Airedale was developed 100 years ago in the town of York by crossing the ancient working terrier and the Otterhound.. The Airedale is a patient and lively dog that needs to be loved and respected. Its coat is brown with large black or grizzle markings and the hair is bristly and resistant to dampness but requires stripping. The Airedale has been trained both as a police dog and bodyguard in the past but today is mostly considered an excellent companion dog.
