Alaskan Malamute The Malamute is a Nordic dog descended form the Artic wolf. It is extremely intelligent, sweet, affectionate and loyal. Its coat is thick with a soft wholly undercoat and colors vary from light gray to black with all shades in between. The Malamute may be aggressive towards other dogs and firm training and handling is required as well as adequate exercise.
