Basenji The Basenji was first brought to Europe in 1934 where English breeders refined it and exported it all over the world. The Basenjis characteristic forehead wrinkles give it a thoughtful look but its personality is both cheerful and affectionate. Its coat is short and silky, reddish in color with white markings.
