Brittany Spaniel The Brittany Spaniel was first shown in a French dog show in 1896. It is an elegant, sturdy, vigorous dog with hair that is always thick and fine, flat and a little wavy. Brittany coat colors come in white & orange; white & chestnut; white & black or tricolor. The Brittany is intelligent, sweet, playful and easily trained. Brittanys can become timid if treated roughly.
