The Bengal

Bengals are active, intelligent, and curious. They are independent but affectionate, and get along well with other breeds of cats. Color ranges from inky black spots on silvery grey (charcoal) or rich brown on light orange (sorrel) background. The snow Bengal is ivory and white colored with dark spots; the marble has swirled markings. ALL must have black tailtips. Pattern should be sharply defined and breathtakingly beautiful. Adults weigh between 8 and 18 pounds. Kittens are born spotted but like cheetah cubs may become greyish between 2 and 6 months of age. True rufous coloring develops at maturity. Voices are oddly raspy and are seldom used. They purr, use litterboxes and make ideal housepets. This exotic look alike requires no special permits or licenses.

Leapole

LEAPOLE of NEWHORIZON
Asian Leopard Cat (ALC)
(Felis bengalensis)

The Leopard cat is a small, aloof forest dwelling cat. It is about the size of a domestic cat and has a stout build, about 12 to 15 lbs. The Leopard cat is one of the most beautiful small, spotted cats and is found in the wilds of India and Southeast Asia.

Timid by nature they do NOT make good pets. They are seldom seen in zoos as they do not breed well in captivity. There is much variation in color but their upper parts are usually pale tawny and the under parts white in color. The body and tail are covered with dark spots. Leopole of New Horizon is the foundation Sire of New Horizon Bengals. We offer hand raised kittens sired by Leopole referred to as F-1 first generation from the wild. We also have F-2, F-3 and SBT from the Leopole line.

Females are for breeding and males are sold only as pets due to the fact that males are sterile in the first three generations. You will LOVE the temperament and looks of the Bengals and other cats we we raise!

The Savannah are beautiful miniature servals from their large, round ears to their short thick tail, black spots and most have the black 'tear drops' under the eyes.
